About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the day-to-day financial and compliance operations of ETF, mutual fund, closed end fund and/or business development company clients
- Help prepare financial statements and accompanying financial footnotes for fund client shareholders and the SEC in compliance with GAAP and regulatory reporting requirements
- Lead fiscal-year financial reporting filing requirements for ETF and other fund clients
- Test portfolio compliance with the Investment Company Act of 1940, prospectus limitations and Internal Revenue Code guidelines
- Assist with regulatory reporting and data collection processes
- Help prepare materials for fund client board of directors meetings
- Monitor fund budgets based on contractual agreements, fee proposals and expense activity trends
- Prepare and review operational reports, reconciliations and supporting schedules
- Research and resolve operational discrepancies and exceptions
- Maintain operational procedures and supporting documentation
- Participate in initiatives focused on operational efficiency, automation and risk reduction
- Develop knowledge to mentor teammates and communicate with senior leaders
- Assist Fund Administrators with ad-hoc projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience
- One to two years of related work experience
- General knowledge of ETFs, mutual funds, other investments and security types
- Basic understanding of legal, regulatory and accounting principles
- Acknowledgement of ethics and compliance
- Organized and attentive to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient computer navigation skills
- Experience with Microsoft Excel
- Willingness to learn new and sometimes complex concepts
- Ability to work from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week
- Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and related workplace conduct and safety policies
