About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design future-state Financial Planning & Analysis processes
  • Enable a business performance management system connecting strategy, financial plans, operational plans, and execution
  • Partner with FP&A leaders to design AI-native planning, forecasting, scenario, and insight-generation processes
  • Assess, design, and implement an enterprise Integrated Business Planning model
  • Establish governance forums, cadence, decision inputs, and connections to leadership routines
  • Align planning cycles, forecast outputs, performance reviews, and executive decision integration
  • Define and influence Extended Planning & Analysis capabilities connecting operational plans with financial outcomes
  • Align assumptions, business drivers, timelines, methodologies, and decision outputs across Finance, Strategy, and functional partners
  • Eliminate fragmented planning approaches and shadow models through standardized constructs and integrated data flows
  • Partner with Finance, Strategy, HR, Sales, technology, and xP&A partners to create one interconnected enterprise operating plan
  • Improve planning, scenario depth, sensitivity analysis, and choice architecture
  • Enable leaders to evaluate growth, cost, capital, capacity, and execution trade-offs
  • Drive faster, more automated, and more predictive planning and forecasting cycles
  • Connect strategy, plans, forecasts, and execution in executive forums and decision materials
  • Lead change management for the evolution of planning processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Enterprise FP&A, planning, forecasting, and performance management expertise, including OPEX, CAPEX, financial statement drivers, and scenario economics
  • Integrated Business Planning and xP&A design capability
  • Strong process architecture and operating model design skills, including governance, cadence, decision rights, handoffs, controls, and scalable execution routines
  • Ability to simplify complex, fragmented processes into standardized, enterprise-ready constructs
  • Fluency in AI, automation, analytics, and enabling technologies
  • Executive-level influence, facilitation, and change leadership skills
  • Experience driving and sustaining change
  • Experience designing or leading enterprise planning, IBP, xP&A, FP&A transformation, or finance operating model modernization in a complex organization
  • Demonstrated success integrating financial and operational planning across multiple business lines, functions, or geographies
  • Experience partnering with senior executives to establish enterprise planning routines, performance forums, decision inputs, and accountability mechanisms
  • Experience deploying planning technologies, automation, AI-enabled workflows, driver-based models, scenario tools, or analytics platforms
  • Financial services, banking, or regulated-industry experience preferred
  • Track record of leading cross-functional change without direct authority
  • Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures, including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and related workplace conduct and safety policies
