About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop new direct MOSIP relationships, identify and qualify prospective clients, lead formal presentations to agency governing boards, and gain commitment and funding
  • Develop and manage an active pipeline supporting annual sales goals, including weekly updates and participation in monthly sales reviews and quarterly meetings
  • Meet frequently with existing clients and prospects, prioritizing in-person meetings
  • Lead development of meeting materials, prepare for meetings, review investment policies and relevant data, and ensure follow-up with prospects, clients, and shareholders
  • Represent PFMAM and key clients at local government trade association conferences and events
  • Gain and leverage in-depth knowledge of PFMAM products and services
  • Work with internal partners to implement new client accounts and fulfill current client and shareholder needs
  • Create innovative ways to educate clients and prospects on market events and investment opportunities
  • Focus on sales and relationship management of existing Missouri clients and develop new relationships with public entity clients

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Typically a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in portfolio management, sales, marketing, or relationship management with institutional/municipal clients
  • Must be FINRA series 6 or 7 and 63 licensed or complete 6 or 7 and 63 testing within 120 days of start date
  • Typically has 10 or more years of experience
  • Strong relationships with public sector clients
  • Business development experience
  • Knowledge of liquidity and fixed-income securities or comparable bank offerings
  • Experience working in or with public sector and other institutional investors
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and highly organized
  • Demonstrated success working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and related workplace conduct and safety policies
