Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage a sales staff responsible for selling assigned bank products and services for an assigned geographic region or industrial segment
  • Make sales directly and/or through assigned sales staff to customers and prospects
  • Develop revenue, volume, and market share objectives for assigned staff and market area
  • Establish and achieve sales and budget goals and marketing strategies for products and services sold
  • Maintain and develop profitable customer relationships
  • Identify and monitor market trends and competitor actions
  • Develop and administer the annual budget for an assigned area
  • Develop relationships with industry associations
  • Train, motivate, and provide daily management to assigned staff
  • Lead response strategies for large RFPs and complex enterprise pursuits
  • Travel to customer locations, industry events, and executive meetings

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Typically, 10 or more years of relevant experience
  • Proven success selling merchant acquiring, payment technology, financial services, SaaS, or integrated technology solutions
  • Demonstrated experience securing large enterprise relationships and complex strategic partnerships
  • Track record of consistently exceeding sales goals and revenue targets
  • Strong executive presence with exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 60% of the time to customer locations, industry events, and executive meetings
  • Experience within hospitality, sports & entertainment, gaming, restaurant, lodging, venue, or CRE industries
  • Knowledge of payment ecosystems, including Acquiring, Payment gateways, Card brand regulations, Integrated payments, Omnichannel commerce, Embedded finance, and Fraud and risk management solutions
  • Existing network of executive relationships within targeted vertical markets
  • Experience leading response strategies for large RFPs and complex enterprise pursuits
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong management and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated new business development and relationship management skills
  • Effective customer service/relations skills
  • Considerable knowledge of banking products/services, banking operations, and current market trends
  • Ability to make important decisions independently
