Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead a division of sales professionals across Minnesota, Texas, Wisconsin, Illinois, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Michigan, Oklahoma, and Kansas City
  • Drive new-to-bank client acquisition
  • Deepen wallet share across existing clients
  • Deliver end-to-end Treasury Management and Payments solutions
  • Hire, develop, lead, and hold accountable a team of high-performing sales professionals
  • Use solution-selling strategies to generate revenue
  • Assist with the design of new services and development of sales strategy
  • Manage multiple lines of business, industry segments, or professional firms with complex treasury management needs
  • Sustain division profitability and growth
  • Provide regular performance updates to stakeholders
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to achieve division objectives
  • Create and maintain cost-effective programs
  • Coordinate strategy, tactics, and sales approach with relationship management and functional partners
  • Lead a performance-driven sales organization by setting expectations, measuring outcomes, coaching leaders and teams, and reinforcing accountability
  • Ensure compliance with the U.S. Bank Code of Ethics, Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, information security, and suspicious activity reporting requirements
  • Participate in required corporate and business line training
  • Follow account opening procedures and internal suspicious activity referral processes
  • Work with customers to understand normal account activity where required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Ability to engage effectively with large, sophisticated commercial clients operating across multiple geographies and product needs
  • Proven capability to lead and develop teams, including direct management of managers
  • Ability to build and scale complex businesses, driving sustained revenue growth and market share gains
  • Strong understanding of technology-enabled treasury and payments solutions and digital capabilities
  • Exceptional communication, influence, and executive presence skills
  • Deep expertise in Treasury Management services, including liquidity and investments, receivables, payments, commercial cards, merchant services, and trade
  • Well-developed leadership and strategic management skills
  • Strong knowledge of the assigned division/segment and its relationship to the broader industry
  • Experience serving as a manager of managers across multiple teams
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Typically has a BA/MBA in finance, accounting, or another related field
  • Typically, 10+ years of experience in financial services
  • Typically, 8+ years of management experience developing sales teams
  • Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures, including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct
  • Applicants must be able to comply with applicable workplace conduct and safety policies
