About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Acquire new merchant relationships and sell payment acceptance, merchant account, point-of-sale, and related business solutions within an assigned market
  • Build relationships with merchants, community organizations, referral sources, and banking partners
  • Identify growth opportunities and deliver solutions aligned with client payment and business needs
  • Prospect, create, and manage a pipeline of sales opportunities
  • Effectively manage territory
  • Execute successful sales campaigns
  • Provide activity reporting and progress toward objectives to leadership
  • Generate new business opportunities and achieve sales production goals within the assigned market
  • Maintain productive partner relationships with key stakeholders and bank partner
  • Engage directly with clients and banking partners through in-person meetings 3–4 days per week
  • Stay informed about local market trends and competitive activity
  • Work autonomously while meeting sales production, revenue, activation, and market growth objectives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Typically, three to five years of relevant sales experience
  • Bilingual, English and Korean
  • Thorough knowledge of sales and sales strategies
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated new business development and relationship management skills
  • Effective customer service/relations skills
  • Thorough knowledge of banking products/services, banking operations, and current market trends
  • Ability to make important decisions independently
  • Must reside near San Francisco, San Jose, or San Diego, California
  • Must be able to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures, including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and related workplace conduct and safety policies
