About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Acquire new merchant relationships
- Sell payment acceptance, merchant account, point-of-sale, and related business solutions within an assigned market
- Build relationships with merchants, community organizations, referral sources, and bank partners
- Identify growth opportunities and deliver solutions aligned with clients’ payment and business needs
- Work independently to meet sales production, revenue, activation, and market growth objectives
- Stay informed about local market trends and competitive activity
- Prospect, create, and manage a pipeline of sales opportunities
- Manage the territory
- Execute successful sales campaigns
- Provide activity reporting and progress toward objectives to leadership
- Generate new business opportunities and achieve sales production goals
- Maintain productive partner relationships with key stakeholders and bank partners
- Engage directly with clients and banking partners through in-person meetings 3–4 days per week
- Provide culturally relevant financial guidance and support to Korean-speaking clients and partners
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- Typically, three to five years of relevant sales experience
- Bilingual, English and Korean
- Thorough knowledge of sales and sales strategies
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated new business development and relationship management skills
- Effective customer service/relations skills
- Thorough knowledge of banking products/services, banking operations, and current market trends
- Ability to make important decisions independently
- Must reside near the San Francisco, San Jose, or San Diego market
- Must be able to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures, including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and related workplace conduct and safety policies
