About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to mutual fund industry clients
  • Assess changing business environments and provide expertise and guidance
  • Maximize client retention and expand product development and services
  • Monitor client asset levels and propose fee structure amendments
  • Conduct monthly client risk assessments and measure client satisfaction for each service line
  • Recommend ways to maintain and increase USBFS service levels
  • Research client products and existing services to identify sales opportunities
  • Coordinate interdepartmental meetings to develop strategies and solutions for client requests
  • Maintain client communication through client tours, conferences and Board of Directors' meetings when necessary
  • Review and approve USBFS and U.S. Bank invoices for reasonableness and accuracy
  • Prepare and complete transfer agent audit requests and information for SEC examinations
  • Review and approve shareholder statements, applications, regulatory documents and tax forms
  • Manage challenging client relationships and/or fund structures
  • Represent Relationship Management on internal and external committees and at seminars/conferences
  • Develop, improve or implement department procedures to enhance clients' experience
  • Assist with training and mentoring new personnel

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Nine to 14 years of experience in a mutual fund related or brokerage industry position
  • Advanced knowledge of the financial services industry and an understanding of operations, legal or accounting principles impacting the mutual fund industry
  • Ability to build strong working relationships and respond promptly to client inquiries
  • Effective work habits and organizational skills, including prioritizing and planning and handling multiple tasks
  • Ability to produce high-quality, accurate and thorough work with attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and sound business judgment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to practice effective risk management strategies while understanding USBFS' risk policies
  • Team-oriented skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to build formula-driven Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
  • Flexibility with work hours as required to meet client expectations
