About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build relationships with customers through in-person, appointment-based, and virtual channels
  • Provide banking counsel while adapting a digital-first mindset
  • Assess and attend to customers’ banking needs
  • Obtain and process customer and account information
  • Demonstrate and educate clients on deposit and loan products and services
  • Recommend solutions based on each customer’s unique goals and needs
  • Originate and close consumer loans
  • Open accounts and provide digital banking solutions
  • Open and/or close the branch
  • Refer clients to registered representatives in partnership with wealth management teams
  • Actively maintain FINRA registrations to meet defined referral client and wealth management introductions
  • Serve as a referral-only registered representative without making direct investment sales

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • National Mortgage Licensing Service (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z
  • Ongoing compliance with all legal or regulatory registration requirements, including maintaining a satisfactory criminal and credit record
  • Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 6, and Series 63
  • FINRA SIE, Series 6 (or Series 7), and Series 63 (or Series 66) registrations
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Five or more years of job related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training
  • Hire is contingent upon an approved FINRA background check
  • Effective and confident client communication
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new information and technology platforms
  • Experience in financial services and knowledge of financial services industry, products and solutions
  • Active listening and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to teach customers how to use digital technology
  • Applicants must be able to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and related workplace conduct and safety policies
