About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define and evolve the enterprise technology architecture strategy
- Align technology architecture with business objectives, technology roadmaps, and modernization initiatives
- Establish and drive enterprise architecture practices, standards, and reference architectures across federated architecture and engineering teams
- Use Enterprise Architecture platforms such as LeanIX and Ardoq to maintain architecture visibility, governance, and decision-making processes
- Design and govern enterprise-wide technology ecosystems, integration patterns, and platform strategies across applications, infrastructure, and cloud environments
- Lead architecture of scalable, secure, resilient, and high-performing technology solutions
- Define and enforce technology governance, architecture review processes, compliance controls, security standards, and quality frameworks
- Partner with business, product, engineering, data, security, and infrastructure leaders to translate strategic priorities into executable technology architectures
- Provide technical leadership throughout the product and solution lifecycle
- Conduct architecture reviews and ensure adherence to enterprise standards and best practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Eight or more years of relevant experience
- Deep expertise in Enterprise Architecture, technology strategy, and large-scale enterprise solution design within complex organizations
- Hands-on experience with Enterprise Architecture tools such as LeanIX, Ardoq, or equivalent architecture repositories and modeling platforms
- Strong knowledge of TOGAF, ITIL, COBIT, Zachman, ArchiMate, UML, and C4
- Ability to design modern application, platform, infrastructure, and integration architectures across hybrid environments
- Experience implementing technology governance, risk management, privacy, security, and compliance controls within enterprise environments
- Strong background in software engineering and solution delivery, including prior experience as a senior engineer or technical lead
- Expertise designing resilient, scalable, highly available application and infrastructure platforms, including cloud-native and distributed architectures
- Ability to influence executive and technical audiences
- Banking, Financial Services, Payments, or Wealth Management experience preferred
- Azure, AWS, hybrid cloud, and enterprise platform modernization experience preferred
- Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures, including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and related workplace conduct and safety policies
