About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build relationships with customers through in-person, appointment-based, and virtual engagement
- Assess and address customers’ banking needs
- Obtain and process customer and account information
- Demonstrate and educate clients on deposit and loan products and services
- Recommend solutions based on customers’ goals and needs
- Conduct proactive outreach and follow-up
- Maintain knowledge of consumer and business banking products and digital services
- Greet clients and process basic transactions
- Develop collaborative partnerships with branch team members and partners
- Open new consumer and business accounts
- Complete service requests and submit credit applications
- Educate clients on emerging and self-service digital products
- Leverage resources and technologies to optimize client experience and operational accuracy
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- Relationship Banker 1: Typically has less than four years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training
- Relationship Banker 2: Typically has a minimum four to five years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training
- Senior Relationship Banker: Typically has five or more years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training
- National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z
- Required NMLS registration process includes a criminal background and credit check
- Proven ability to build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow up
- Ability to effectively engage and communicate with clients
- Knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies, procedures and support systems
- Relationship Banker 2 and Senior Relationship Banker: Thorough knowledge of all retail products and services
- Proven customer service and interpersonal skills
- Experience using and demonstrating digital products and self-service technologies
- Ability to identify customers’ needs while leveraging a digital-first mindset
- Proficiency in making appropriate recommendations that meet customers’ needs
- Relationship Banker 2 and Senior Relationship Banker: Experience participating in sales campaigns/promotions
- Applicants must comply with U.S. Bank policies, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, and workplace conduct and safety policies
