About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and foster relationships with consumer and business banking clients
  • Engage clients in person, by appointment, and virtually
  • Assess customers’ banking needs and obtain and process customer and account information
  • Demonstrate and educate clients on deposit, loan, digital, and self-service products and services
  • Recommend solutions based on customers’ goals and needs
  • Conduct proactive outreach and follow-up
  • Greet clients and process basic transactions
  • Open new consumer and business accounts
  • Complete service requests and submit credit applications
  • Develop collaborative partnerships with branch team members and partners
  • Leverage resources and technologies to optimize client experience and operational accuracy

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training; level-specific experience ranges from less than four years to five or more years
  • National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z
  • Required NMLS registration process includes criminal background and credit check
  • Ability to build and foster client relationships through proactive outreach and follow-up
  • Ability to effectively engage and communicate with clients
  • Knowledge of bank and branch policies, procedures, and support systems
  • Knowledge of retail banking products and services
  • Customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Experience using and demonstrating digital products and self-service technologies
  • Ability to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Ability to participate in sales campaigns/promotions
  • Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, and workplace conduct and safety policies
