About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, code, test, debug, document, maintain, and modify high-complexity computer programs
Participate in application architecture functions, including estimating timelines, costs, and project tasks
Recommend business improvements focused on core architecture, technology strategies, and standards
Guide others through change impact analysis
Establish, refine, and integrate development and test environment tools and software
Review, analyze, refine, and integrate development and test environment tools and software
Create and recommend improvements to unit tests, test plans, and testing processes
Collaborate with teams across all stages of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, and testing
Design program specifications while ensuring expected application performance through interface, service-level, standards, and configuration management
Guide technical staff and business partners in investigating, reviewing, and solving complex multidisciplinary business problems
Monitor operating efficiency and organizational needs of existing application systems
Identify opportunities to fine-tune and optimize applications and recommend technical solutions
Demonstrate understanding of the business needs driving projects

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
Three to five years of relevant experience
Hands-on experience developing highly maintainable, extensible, and testable distributed systems
Expertise in Modern JavaScript (ES6+), ReactJS, Next.js, and Node.js
Strong knowledge of DOM manipulation, JavaScript object model, and modern front-end development practices
Experience designing and building scalable Micro Frontend architectures, reusable React components, and responsive design systems
Proficiency in state management and API integration, including Redux, Flux, Context API, GraphQL, Apollo Client, Axios, and Fetch-based service layers
Strong UI development skills using HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, Styled Components, and Webpack
Experience optimizing application performance, caching, and build processes
Understanding of web application architecture, OOP principles, design patterns, JWT authentication, WCAG 2.0+, ADA compliance, and cross-browser compatibility
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, CloudBees, Babel, NPM, Webpack 4+, Artifactory, Git/TFS version control
Ability to translate business requirements into high-quality technical solutions
Ability to implement user interfaces against REST APIs
Hands-on experience in Microservices/API development using Java/Spring Boot
Experience developing cloud-native applications in Azure or AWS preferred
Experience designing low-latency applications for scalability, reliability, and high throughput
Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and containerization
Experience with Jenkins/CloudBees, GitLab, Apigee, Istio, Kubernetes, and Rancher
Experience using modern and functional programming styles
Familiarity with source control management best practices
AI experience good to have
Ability to analyze the bigger picture and prioritize across more than one domain
Preferred skill securing applications and containers using certificates
Ability to work from a U.S. Bank location three or more days per week
