About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Analyze, design, test, develop, operate, and maintain software experiences
  • Develop mobile platform capabilities, backend-integrated mobile solutions, SDKs, and services for iOS and Android
  • Take full-stack ownership by writing production-ready and testable code
  • Create optimal technical designs adhering to architectural best practices, scalability, reliability, and performance requirements
  • Analyze failures, propose design changes, and drive operational improvements
  • Make design and coding decisions with customer experience as a priority
  • Participate in code reviews and apply feedback to meet standards
  • Conduct code reviews and provide guidance on engineering best practices and compliance
  • Ensure product development follows compliance and security best practices
  • Apply software reliability engineering standards in development practices
  • Critically review, prioritize, and size tasks for incremental delivery
  • Anticipate and communicate blockers and delays before escalation
  • Collaborate with teams and stakeholders across the organization

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Three to five years of relevant experience
  • Experience building mobile platform services, SDKs, and backend-driven mobile applications across iOS and Android environments
  • Working knowledge of Swift and/or Objective-C (iOS) and experience with Java and/or Kotlin (Android)
  • Experience developing features that integrate with backend systems, APIs, messaging frameworks, authentication services, and enterprise platforms
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, service integration, and mobile-to-backend communication patterns
  • Experience developing and consuming mobile SDKs, reusable libraries, platform components, and shared mobile frameworks
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills across mobile applications, backend services, and distributed systems
  • Experience supporting high-scale, production-grade applications and services
  • Understanding of application performance, monitoring, observability, and stability across mobile and backend ecosystems
  • Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments with a focus on software quality, reliability, and continuous delivery
  • Ability to work from a U.S. Bank location three or more days per week
  • Must be able to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures
