About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead a trust unit or units within the organization and act to meet unit and divisional objectives
  • Develop and maintain unit policies, procedures, and training initiatives
  • Hire and train staff
  • Establish and monitor performance goals
  • Coach employees and recognize and reward performance results
  • Prepare and review management and exception reports
  • Serve as an expert resource for complex problem solving
  • Manage the unit budget by increasing revenue, controlling costs, and reducing expenses

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Five or more years of experience in banking operations, sales, compliance/law, accounting, and/or customer service
  • Minimum one year of management experience
  • Thorough knowledge of the Trust division, its products, processes, and related bank and regulatory regulations
  • Ability to effectively manage less complex Trust unit functions in operations, processes, analysis, and compliance
  • Strong management skills to include planning, budgeting, and people management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and related workplace conduct and safety policies
