About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage day-to-day compliance operations for nonprofit and PAC clients
- Serve as the primary point of contact for communications, inquiries, and regulatory matters
- Prepare, review, and coordinate disclosure filings, reports, and submissions for attorney and client review
- Monitor statutory and regulatory timelines, identify potential compliance risks, and escalate issues
- Maintain accurate records of nonprofit and PAC activities, including contributions, disbursements, filings, and supporting documentation
- Support compliance reviews, audits, investigations, and regulatory responses through records gathering, reporting, and documentation management
- Collaborate with attorneys, clients, and internal teams to provide updates, track action items, and ensure efficient program operations
- Assist with process improvement initiatives to strengthen compliance, reduce risk, improve transparency, and increase operational efficiency
- Work under the direction of the Government Affairs and Compliance Manager
- Work closely with attorneys, clients, government agencies, and internal stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a legal, compliance, accounting, regulatory, public records, government affairs, or related field
- Experience managing high-volume, deadline-driven workflows involving multiple stakeholders
- Knowledge of compliance processes, documentation management, and regulatory reporting requirements
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and handle sensitive information professionally
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate client needs and provide exceptional service
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Sound judgment, analytical thinking, and discretion
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience supporting nonprofit organizations and/or Political Action Committees (PACs) is preferred
- Experience with bookkeeping software is preferred
- Experience with document management systems such as NetDocuments and Adobe Acrobat is preferred
- Familiarity with, and willingness to learn, QuickBooks, bookkeeping software platforms, and PAC and lobbying reporting CRMs
