About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build, maintain, and scale backend services and data pipelines for North American teams
  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable backend services using Python frameworks
  • Write clean, testable, and efficient code focused on reliability and performance
  • Build and integrate RESTful APIs and asynchronous background tasks
  • Optimize relational and non-relational database queries
  • Participate in code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD deployment pipelines
  • Complete the recruiter interview, possible AI assessment, and client interview process

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2–4+ years of professional software development experience using Python
  • Hands-on experience with FastAPI, Django, or Flask
  • Solid understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases and ORM tools such as SQLAlchemy or Django ORM
  • Familiarity with Git, Docker, RESTful APIs, and unit/integration testing
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and clear communication skills
  • Cloud experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure is a nice-to-have
  • Exposure to asynchronous programming such as asyncio or message brokers such as Celery, RabbitMQ, or Kafka is a nice-to-have
