About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Join a security-focused squad to harden a multi-region AWS platform ahead of a major launch milestone
- Run security assessments and threat modeling across network security, secrets management, infrastructure, and IAM
- Review and remediate launch-critical Infrastructure as Code findings
- Review AI-assisted and AI-generated code for security risks
- Build and execute the security roadmap, including WAF, SAST/DAST, CI/CD security gates, secrets management, and IAM hardening
- Pair with client engineers and the in-house DevSecOps hire to transfer security practices
- Provide documentation, runbooks, and reports
- Perform other activities agreed upon between the client and the team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Hands-on AWS security experience in multi-region environments
- Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform and/or CloudFormation
- IAM design and hardening experience
- Comfort working with Claude and agentic development workflows
- Clear understanding of security risks introduced by AI-assisted and AI-generated code
- CI/CD security tooling (SAST/DAST) and building security gates into pipelines (nice-to-have)
- WAF configuration and management (nice-to-have)
- Secrets management at scale (nice-to-have)
- Experience embedding security into a fast-moving product team (nice-to-have)
