About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Run security assessments and threat modeling across the AWS environment
Review and remediate launch-critical Infrastructure as Code findings
Review AI-assisted and AI-generated code for security risks
Build and execute the security roadmap covering WAF, SAST/DAST, CI/CD security gates, secrets management, and IAM hardening
Pair with client engineers and the in-house DevSecOps hire to transfer practices to the team
Provide documentation, runbooks, and reports
Perform other activities agreed upon between the client and team

Requirements

What you’ll need

Hands-on AWS security experience in multi-region environments
Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform and/or CloudFormation
IAM design and hardening experience
Comfort working with Claude and agentic development workflows
Clear understanding of security risks introduced by AI-assisted and AI-generated code
CI/CD security tooling (SAST/DAST) and security gates in pipelines (nice-to-have)
WAF configuration and management (nice-to-have)
Secrets management at scale (nice-to-have)
Experience embedding security into a fast-moving product team (nice-to-have)
