About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support prospective students through initial inquiry, application, and admission
- Use a consultative sales approach to understand prospective students’ needs and educational goals
- Recommend University programs when appropriate and make compelling enrollment recommendations
- Facilitate enrollment through frequent phone contacts
- Connect prospective students with Academic Advisors, One-Stop Specialists, and other campus personnel
- Overcome prospective student objections when appropriate
- Convert prospective students from inquiry through registration/matriculation into University students
- Serve as the primary point of contact and guide prospective students through enrollment
- Communicate the University’s value proposition in a compelling, personalized manner
- Advise prospective students on suitable programs and communicate program requirements
- Create and maintain accurate prospective-student rosters in the CRM
- Provide feedback to the Enrollment team on student issues, questions, and barriers
- Collaborate with the recruiting and enrollment team
- Perform other assigned duties
- Receive supervision from the Enrollment Services Manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1 to 3 years of experience related to admissions, coaching, customer experience, or sales
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with a diverse group of constituencies
- Experience maintaining accurate records in a CRM and/or other student databases
- Ability to work autonomously with a high level of initiative to achieve enrollment results
- Good time management and prioritization skills
- Comfort being measured on enrollment targets and performance metrics
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a team
- Flexibility to thrive in a dynamic, growing, and evolving organization
- Good written and verbal communication
- Working knowledge of consultative sales
- Student-focused, personalized, responsive, empowering, coachable, high integrity, self-disciplined, focused, solution-oriented, optimistic, positive, and resilient
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize effectively
- Ability to clearly articulate or present a point of view
- Personal computer and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Availability to work Monday–Thursday 8:00 AM–6:30 PM Pacific Time and Friday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM Pacific Time, with flexible hours and occasional weekend/evening work
- Subject to a background check and criminal history review
