About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, build, and maintain full-stack features using React on the frontend and NestJS (Node.js/TypeScript) on the backend
Architect scalable, well-tested APIs and services
Contribute to data modeling and system design
Own features from technical design through deployment and production monitoring
Write clean, maintainable, well-tested TypeScript code
Participate in code reviews
Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
Identify and address performance bottlenecks, technical debt, and scalability challenges
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers
Contribute to engineering best practices, tooling, and CI/CD processes
Conduct Knowledge Transfer sessions and training for team members and stakeholders during Singapore and Manila training engagements
Develop and deliver training materials, guides, and documentation to support upskilling and knowledge handover
Work as part of a self-organizing Scrum team in a scaled agile framework
Collaborate with clients and internal teams

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experience
Strong hands-on experience with React, including hooks, state management, and component architecture
Strong hands-on experience with NestJS or a similar Node.js framework such as Express or Fastify
Deep proficiency in TypeScript and type-safe design across frontend and backend
Experience designing and consuming RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs
Solid understanding of relational and/or NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL and MongoDB
Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress
Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows
Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and containerization using Docker or Kubernetes
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code
Experience with microservices architecture and message queues such as RabbitMQ or Kafka
Contributions to open-source projects or a strong personal project portfolio
Prior experience mentoring or leading engineers
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Ability to manage competing priorities and drive successful project outcomes
Prior experience conducting Knowledge Transfer sessions, training, or facilitation for teams and/or clients highly preferred
Willingness and availability to travel to Singapore for training in October and continue training in Manila from November to December
Familiarity and relevant experience with the insurance industry
Preference for candidates residing in Metro Manila
