About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Report to and collaborate with the Preacher Relations Director
- Build respectful relationships with Catholic priests representing Unbound at Weekend Assignments throughout the United States
- Recruit, screen, onboard, evaluate, support, and provide ongoing training to Unbound’s Catholic priests
- Support Unbound’s sponsorship growth through high-quality preaching and invitations to sponsor
- Maintain regular contact with preachers and presenters, providing support and encouragement
- Provide support by phone, email, and scheduled communications
- Communicate Unbound policies, goals, initiatives, and information
- Build relationships with preachers, presenters, pastors, and church staff nationwide
- Travel domestically to review presentations and provide feedback on message accuracy, quality, effectiveness, and sponsorship invitations
- Travel internationally and domestically to build relationships with preachers and sponsors and represent Unbound at conferences and engagement events
- Help maintain and update the Unbound Preacher’s Manual
- Coordinate and plan the annual preachers’ conference, including content, presentations, speakers, and event planning
- Assist with recruitment, selection, orientation, and follow-up training of new priests and presenters
- Assist with preacher documentation and other Preacher Relations Team responsibilities
- Travel approximately 15–20% of workdays, or 35–45 days annually
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in marketing, communications, management, public relations, theology, ministry, or related fields and/or experience
- Graduate degree or professional certification in one of the listed fields is preferred
- Familiarity with the Roman Catholic Church structure and culture
- Knowledge of the social teachings of the Catholic Church
- Comfort working with Roman Catholic clergy
- Moderate to advanced computer skills in CRM tools, virtual communication and teleconferencing platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
- Well-developed project management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
- Positive attitude, openness to new ideas, careful listening, ability to suggest alternatives, and problem-solving ability
- Influential and collaborative communication style
- Forward thinker and business savvy
- Ability to quickly establish credibility and build rapport
- Willingness to undertake business travel when necessary
- Strong accuracy and organizational skills
- Energetic self-starter with a strong work ethic
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Bilingual in Spanish/English is strongly preferred
- Fluency in other relevant languages is a plus
- Able to travel domestically at least 15% of the time and internationally to Unbound countries occasionally
- Ability to occasionally lift, carry and/or drag up to fifty (50) pounds if necessary
