About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Integrate, administer, and maintain Linux systems, including new installations, patching, monitoring, troubleshooting, and day-to-day administration
Deploy, configure, and administer PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch systems, including installations, patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting
Design, implement, and support Disaster Recovery (DR), High Availability (HA), and backup strategies for Linux systems
Implement and maintain security best practices across Linux environments
Automate system administration and operational tasks using Bash scripting and Ansible

Requirements

What you’ll need

University/College Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
3+ years of proven work experience as a Unix/Linux Engineer
Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and/or Elasticsearch
Solid scripting skills in Bash and/or Python
Basic understanding of networking principles and security concepts
Familiarity with cloud native technologies and containers
Experience working in highly available, enterprise, or critical infrastructure environments
Ability to create and maintain technical documentation
Effective communication skills with customers and internal stakeholders
Experience leveraging AI code tools to improve productivity and quality
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
