About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform first-line monitoring of systems, identifying alerts and suspicious events
  • Analyze security alerts according to predefined procedures, looking for patterns and correlations
  • Prepare basic reports on monitoring activities and incidents
  • Prepare audit reports and review security consoles and technical vulnerabilities
  • Provide technical support to users, clients, and other teams for matters under the SOC’s responsibility
  • Escalate issues to support teams when necessary
  • Respond to low- and medium-complexity incidents
  • Create and maintain documentation for internal SOC processes and security consoles
  • Contribute to improvements and updates of security tools within the environment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Incident identification, triage, and response processes
  • Preparing security documentation, reports, and health checks
  • Experience with or knowledge of EDR, SIEM, SOAR, and Vulnerability Management tools
  • Knowledge of firewalls and network perimeter protection technologies (NGFW, WAF, VPN, XDR, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems and containers
  • Currently pursuing a university degree in technology or information security
  • Availability to work a 12x36 shift schedule, from 5:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (night shift)
  • Position available for people with disabilities (PwD)
