About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Ensure the quality, reliability, and stability of IPTV, digital signage, and enterprise cloud-based solutions
Own the quality of assigned product areas and ensure releases meet product manager and end-user expectations
Collaborate with product managers and developers to create test plans and test cases for end-to-end workflows
Implement and execute manual test plans across Linux, Windows, macOS, and web-based interfaces
Build, configure, and maintain test systems, including VMWare virtualised environments and cloud-based deployments
Identify, reproduce, and document defects with clear step-by-step replication paths
Collaborate with development teams to triage issues and verify fixes
Support preparation and release of software builds
Review release notes, user guides, and technical documentation for accuracy and clarity
Provide feedback on technical design documents and quality specifications
Develop knowledge of Uniguest technologies, hardware/software interactions, and system behaviours

Requirements

What you’ll need

2+ years of previous experience within a Test Engineering position
Good knowledge of scripting languages, such as PHP and bash
Working knowledge of Linux
Knowledge of cloud networking architecture and cloud operations
Experience with virtualisation technologies, particularly VMWare
Experience implementing and/or operating medium- to large-scale enterprise cloud infrastructures
Experience testing web-based applications on Windows and Mac OS X
Excellent communication skills internally and externally
Good understanding of data security and privacy concerns desirable
Experience with Jira and Confluence desirable
Ability to automate testing, preferably using Python
Experience with API testing tools such as Postman and Curl
Knowledge of IPTV, digital signage, or media streaming technologies advantageous
