About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support pre- and post-sales technical scoping
- Contribute to Rough Order of Magnitude estimates for infrastructure, software platform, and user migration engagements
- Design and deliver technical solutions across virtualization, server, storage, database, network, and other platforms
- Own assigned projects from design through delivery
- Communicate with technical and non-technical client stakeholders
- Serve as execution-level owner for datacenter migrations, disaster recovery, and cloud migrations
- Set expectations with clients regarding project scope, timelines, sequencing, and prioritization
- Collaborate with project resources and subject matter experts on task breakdowns, estimates, and planning
- Monitor and follow up with assigned project resources to keep work on track
- Provide project management support and structure
- Maintain internal Solution Architecture standards, runbooks, and documentation
- Provide technical escalation support
- Operate across cloud-based and on-premise enterprise infrastructure
- Assist customers with emerging technology and strategic planning
- Advise account delivery teams on managed services best practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- Deep knowledge of enterprise virtualization (VMware/vSphere), server hardware, SAN, etc.
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux and Windows Server administration
- Working familiarity with networking fundamentals, including firewalls, load balancers, VLANs, and routing concepts
- Basic understanding of enterprise database platforms such as Oracle and Microsoft SQL
- Demonstrated ability to work independently on scoped technical projects
- Strong critical thinking skills in ambiguous and undocumented environments
- Clear written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Commitment to best practices that support team continuity
- U.S. Citizenship and U.S. residency required
- Must be eligible for any required U.S. Government authorizations for access to export-controlled commodities and technology
