About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Stay aligned with emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions
- Build business cases supporting adoption of new technologies
- Design and deliver technical architectures for automation technologies
- Integrate diverse technologies, tools, and platforms for use-case requirements
- Develop MVPs and proofs of concept for automation solutions
- Mentor and guide junior developers across global teams
- Translate business requirements and process workflows into modular technical designs
- Use programming and scripting languages to develop automation routines
- Create and execute unit and integration test cases
- Collaborate with Architects to engineer new capabilities
- Follow Agile/SDLC processes and development best practices
- Work with Automation Analysts, account teams, and customer teams to deploy automation workflows
- Conduct code reviews for standards compliance and best-practice alignment
- Develop CMP-related procedures interfacing with APIs for cloud and infrastructure manipulation
- Ensure automation routines meet technical design and performance expectations
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years of experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Expert-level infrastructure services experience
- Expert-level automation programming and scripting experience
- Expert-level ITSM and ITIL process knowledge
- Proven expertise designing and deploying automation routines
- Strong leadership, communication, and mentorship skills
- Demonstrated thought leadership and innovation focus
- Proven ability to lead projects and deliver with excellence
- Experience with ServiceNow Orchestrator, Ansible, Foreman, and similar automation tools
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible
- DevOps experience
