About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage day-to-day activities of direct reports in Syndicated Servicing
  • Perform complex and critical Syndicated Servicing functions and act as a department resource
  • Assist the manager in coordinating and prioritizing daily tasks and resolving procedural and technical issues
  • Lead small projects and support potential progression into a manager role
  • Ensure work complies with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, and Bank policies
  • Ensure loan boarding and loan maintenance requests are completed according to Bank, regulatory, and investor guidelines
  • Forward findings, reports, and documents to lenders or specified loan/branch assistants
  • Ensure accurate and timely quality assurance reviews of loan boarding and critical loan maintenance
  • Participate in reviewing and selecting new hires
  • Assess training needs, provide new-hire training, update procedure manuals, and engage with Change Management
  • Conduct monthly one-on-ones with direct reports
  • Prepare performance and quality metrics reports for manager review
  • Approve timecards and vacation/leave requests
  • Assist with pre- and post-conversion activities
  • Create and update policies and procedures
  • Perform evaluations and coach, mentor, and apply disciplinary action for direct reports under manager guidance and approval
  • Provide service to internal and external clients with urgency and a positive attitude
  • Balance competing priorities and make sound business decisions within standard policy

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum four years of experience in Loan Operations, Loan Processing, or Loan Administration
  • College degree preferred
  • Previous leadership experience preferred
  • Participation in all required compliance training and assigned internal and external training programs, online training, meetings, or education events
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • In-depth knowledge of Retail loan documentation requirements
  • Intermediate knowledge of federal and state banking regulations
  • Experience performing quality assurance reviews of various loan operations functions
  • Ability to coach and motivate employees to improve performance, efficiency, and team morale
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with ability to balance competing priorities and meet multiple deadlines
  • Self-starter with initiative and advanced analytical, administrative, critical thinking, communication, and organization skills
  • Professional behavior aligned with the bank’s vision, mission, and culture
  • Advanced problem-solving and critical-thinking skills without direct guidance; ability to assist others with problem solving
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background and credit check
  • Ability to work in a professional office environment and perform sedentary, climbing, standing, stooping, or typing duties

  • May require up to 25% travel
