About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead, manage, mentor, coach, train, and evaluate field-based HEOR Liaisons
- Maintain a personal panel of priority U.S. payer accounts and engage in scientific dialogue about commercialized products and pipeline assets
- Partner with market access stakeholders to support account objectives, establish and track KPIs, identify gaps, and adjust field activities
- Represent the company at Medicaid meetings and clinical and managed care conferences
- Attend Market Access account director meetings to model best-in-class field engagement
- Serve as an internal resource and escalation point on therapeutic landscapes, real-world evidence, and clinical/HEOR data
- Lead collection, synthesis, and reporting of U.S. payer insights
- Develop HEOR strategic and tactical plans for pipeline and commercialized products
- Guide payer value propositions, HCEI materials, and State Medicaid testimonies
- Partner with Medical Information on dossiers and HEOR data integration
- Identify team training and resource needs and coordinate development plans
- Contribute to strategic planning and Global Medical Affairs initiatives
- Ensure field work aligns with company mission, goals, strategies, and behaviors
- Address unsolicited medical and HEOR questions accurately and compliantly
- Monitor and summarize competitor HEOR strategies, value evidence, and RWE outputs
- Interview, select, and hire HEOR Liaison candidates
- Oversee team performance management with HEOR leadership
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s Degree in Health Economics, Outcomes Research, epidemiology, health services research, or related field with 10+ years of professional experience in HEOR, medical affairs, managed markets, health plan, or pharmacy benefit management, or PharmD, PhD, or MD with 7+ years of professional experience in these fields
- 3+ years of previous field-based HEOR experience with demonstrated excellence and leadership
- Strong understanding of study design, methodology, data analysis, and interpretation of HEOR and clinical data
- Leadership and influencing skills, including guiding senior stakeholders, mentoring, coaching, motivating others, leading projects, strategic thinking, and high-performance management
- Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills with U.S. payers and internal stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex HEOR and clinical data
- Skills in building and maintaining relationships
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word skills
- Valid in-state driver license
- Ability to travel up to 60%, domestically and internationally
- Preferred: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), PhD, or MD
- Preferred: 2+ years of people leadership or management experience
- Preferred: 2+ years directly interacting with U.S. payer or health system decision-makers and/or supporting economic modeling or RWE initiatives
- Familiarity with U.S. payer decision-making processes and Veeva or similar CRM/reporting systems
