About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Gather requirements and partner with institutional stakeholders
- Design, develop, and implement Salesforce solutions
- Deliver CRM applications and integrations
- Implement data structure and systems performance strategies
- Prepare detailed system design specifications for integrations and upgrades
- Maintain and troubleshoot applications, systems, and websites
- Review application design specifications
- Code new applications and enhance existing applications
- Manage technology projects, tasks, and resources
- Prepare program documentation and training requirements
- Test and debug programs and prepare system test data
- Develop or modify technical specifications for moderately complex projects using disciplined software development practices
- Provide training and support
- Collaborate with stakeholders from concept through implementation
- Support university priorities including digital transformation, student success, inclusivity, and community connections
Requirements
What you’ll need- Legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available
- BS/BA degree in computer science/engineering, information technology, or related field at the time of application
- One year of demonstrated Salesforce CRM development experience and/or relevant certifications
- Salesforce Platform Developer 1 or 2, UX/Strategy Designer, Salesforce Administrator, or related certifications
- Experience with software development and object-oriented programming
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects, tasks, and resources
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely through verbal and written communication to various stakeholders
- Successful completion of pre-employment education verification
- Successful completion of a criminal conviction investigation
- Three references, including at least one manager or supervisor, required during the interview process
- Preferred: three years of demonstrated Salesforce CRM development experience
- Preferred: experience implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Blackthorn Event Registration solutions built on Salesforce
- Preferred: experience with Oracle Campus Solutions, Workday, or other ERP systems
- Preferred: experience writing SQL queries, analyzing data, and using report-writing tools
- Preferred: experience with Form Assembly, Salesforce API development, Informatica, or similar tools
- Preferred: experience with information security, compliance, and/or audit
