About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide safe, efficient, age-specific nursing care to patients and families using the nursing process
- Deliver effective relationship-based nursing care
- Demonstrate technical skills that support safe practice and positive care outcomes
- Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively to optimize patient care and clinical operations
- Develop professionally and contribute to nursing practice
- Display leadership influencing clinical and operational outcomes
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Comply with organizational policies, standards, and Protected Health Information requirements
- Work 20 hours per week in two 10-hour shifts on Mondays and Fridays
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1+ years of RN experience
- Oncology experience preferred
- Diploma in Nursing, ADN (Associate's Degree in Nursing), BSN (Bachelor's Degree in Nursing), or MN (Master in Nursing)
- Knowledge of nursing process and practice
- Proficiency using technical equipment including stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers, and electronic monitoring devices
- Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License required upon hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire
- ACLS may be required based on unit clinical care standards
- PALS may be required based on unit clinical care standards
- Ability to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI)
- Ability to meet physical demands including frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs
- Ability to travel 10% of the time
