About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead automation and optimization initiatives across patient access, billing, claims, accounts receivable, denials, customer service, and other revenue cycle functions
  • Assess workflows and identify opportunities to eliminate manual work, improve performance, reduce cost, increase revenue, and improve employee and patient experiences
  • Translate operational challenges and requirements into automation, technology, analytics, and process improvement solutions
  • Lead initiative planning, process redesign, requirements development, testing, implementation, adoption, and post-implementation optimization
  • Partner with operational leaders, technology teams, analysts, informaticists, vendors, and subject matter experts to execute transformation initiatives
  • Develop business cases, quantify expected financial and operational benefits, and support prioritization of the automation portfolio
  • Establish performance baselines, implementation metrics, and benefit-realization measures and evaluate results following implementation
  • Apply structured process improvement and problem-solving methodologies to complex revenue cycle challenges
  • Support adoption of artificial intelligence, intelligent automation, analytics, and emerging technologies within revenue cycle operations
  • Lead project teams and provide guidance to analysts, informaticists, operational stakeholders, and other resources without requiring direct reporting authority
  • Develop scalable standards, tools, methodologies, and best practices for revenue cycle automation and optimization
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Comply with all policies and standards
  • Safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for patients

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Engineering, Information Systems, Finance, or related field (Required)
  • 5+ years progressively responsible experience in healthcare revenue cycle, healthcare technology, consulting, process improvement, analytics, or related fields
  • 3+ years leading complex projects, optimization initiatives, technology implementations, or cross-functional transformation efforts
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing complex workflows and implementing measurable operational improvements
  • Experience working across operational and technology teams in a complex healthcare environment
  • Experience with Epic revenue cycle applications, automation, AI, analytics, and process improvement
  • Advanced knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle operations and performance drivers
  • Strong understanding of workflow automation, healthcare technology, analytics, AI, and process improvement
  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving, process design, and systems-thinking capabilities
  • Ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders without direct authority
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to quantify business value and measure benefits
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, project leadership, and change-management skills
  • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI)
