About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Generate, collect, analyze, and report data for enrolment projection and forecasting
- Conduct research for strategic and tactical planning using internal and external data sources
- Monitor initiatives and statistical results affecting Enrolment Services and Enrolment Management
- Lead analysis of enrolment trends across local, national, and international students and specific populations
- Lead the Office of the Registrar’s Business Intelligence production
- Develop, revise, monitor, and evaluate enrolment reporting needs
- Deliver statistical and trend analyses supporting demand estimates, admission criteria, recruitment priorities, and student-performance comparisons
- Develop research projects and visualization tools for evidence-informed decision-making and enrolment management
- Collaborate with campus partners on data-product relevance, consistency, accuracy, methodologies, and User Acceptance Testing
- Develop and maintain enrolment projections for planning
- Prepare presentations of research and analysis for in-person or electronic delivery
- Develop the annual enrolment report with communications and marketing
- Compare institutional processes and performance metrics with other institutions’ best practices
- Review data compilations and reports for significant insights, validity, and reliability
- Consult with stakeholders and keep current on methods and tools for enrolment-management and reporting systems
Requirements
What you’ll need- Related undergraduate degree in Social Sciences, Economics, Statistics, or a related discipline
- Excellent knowledge of statistical research and analytical methods and related software/technology
- Three years of experience conducting research and analysis
- Expertise in qualitative and quantitative analysis, preferably in a post-secondary environment
- Continuous upgrading of computer software, statistical, and social scientific analytical skills
- Experience or proficiency with SAS, R, Python, Tableau, and Excel
- Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues and data specialists and provide leadership in information gathering, trend analysis, and predictive analysis
- Ability to analyze data, suggest recommendations, and present results to senior management
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent time management and ability to deliver critical data, reports, and analysis within strategic time limits
