Key responsibilities & impact

Meet and greet the public
Answer telephones
Coordinate appointments, referrals, consults, tests and/or procedures
Check-in and register patients
Check-out patients
Collect payments and issue receipts
Schedule, reschedule, and coordinate appointments using hospital systems
Perform visit notifications of patients
Collect co-pays, deductibles, and/or patient account payments
Conduct pre-registration and input or update accurate patient information
Conduct insurance verification and explain benefits
Request and gather outside medical records from referrals and file patient charts
Work and complete the workqueue daily
Assist other teams as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma/GED
Two (2) years of customer service or healthcare experience
Basic proficiency with computers (preferably MS Office)
General knowledge of office machines including printers and scanners
Epic
Experience in registration, billing, or scheduling in a healthcare environment
Knowledge in basic medical terminology
Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
Annual TB Screening
Criminal Background Check
