About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee cash and ensure incoming revenue and outgoing expenditures are accurately recorded and reconciled
  • Advance the Caring Campus culture, support student connection and success, and participate in campus events
  • Complete auxiliary deposits and Bank Hoc transactions
  • Verify daily bank transactions for each account
  • Complete bank statement EIBs in Workday
  • Work on asset reporting with the CFO
  • Reconcile all checking and agency bank accounts monthly
  • Record invoice payments and reconcile accounts receivable monthly
  • Audit UACCB cash drawers and Cosmetology inventory
  • Read copier and postage meters monthly and complete journals to verify charge amounts
  • Prepare journal entries
  • Complete revenue AASIS reporting to the state
  • Make bank transfers and complete outgoing wires
  • Report unclaimed property to the state annually

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • 1 year experience in an accounting-related field
  • Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements
  • Evidence of commitment to student success in a community college or similar setting
  • Knowledge of higher education administration and applicable federal, state, and local regulations
  • Knowledge of budget development, fiscal management, grant administration, GAAP, NACUBO, Federal IV Aid and Cash Management, State Aid and Cash Management, and the banking system
  • Strong communication—oral, written, and interpersonal—with diverse audiences
  • Conflict resolution, negotiation, and consensus-building skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with faculty, staff, students, and community partners
  • Workday experience preferred
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
  • Ability to complete required criminal background and sex offender registry checks
  • Physical ability to perform keyboarding, reaching, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, talking, pulling, stooping, balancing, lifting, pushing, and handling sharps
