About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide advanced clinical care to patients requiring observation in the Emergency Department/Clinical Decision Unit, typically 6–24 hours

  • Perform comprehensive health histories
  • Identify acute and chronic health conditions
  • Assess risk factors and overall patient status
  • Perform other duties as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s Degree in nursing or Physician Assistant license
  • Minimum of two years APP experience in an acute care setting, OR recently licensed APP with 5 years' experience in an acute care setting as an RN
  • Licensed Registered Nurse in Arkansas
  • APP/CPN License
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification or must successfully obtain certification within the first 30 days of employment
  • Ability to operate typical nursing equipment, including scales, procedure equipment, needles, blood pressure equipment, and EKG machines
  • Normal communication sensory requirement
  • Ability to comply with CDC Universal Precautions when indicated
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
  • Annual TB Screening, Criminal Background Check, Substance Abuse Testing
  • Required application documents: Cover Letter/Letter of Application, Curriculum Vitae, License or Certificate
