About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct research experiments involving laboratory animal care and maintenance
- Perform behavioral studies, surgical procedures, tissue collection and analysis
- Maintain accurate research records
- Maintain laboratory equipment used to monitor small animals
- Manage laboratory supplies and materials
- Coordinate laboratory orders and monitor inventory needs
- Support daily research and operational activities
- Collaborate with laboratory staff and students
- Train and instruct laboratory personnel and students on proper research procedures
- Ensure laboratory activities follow safety requirements and approved research protocols
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s degree in a science-related field PLUS two (2) years of relevant research experience are required
- PhD in a science-related field is preferred
- Experience conducting behavioral procedures with laboratory rodents
- Ability to work collaboratively with laboratory staff and students
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
- Annual TB Screening
- Pre-employment screening, including criminal background, drug testing, and/or education verification
