About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist with maintenance of the organization's enterprise IT communications infrastructure
  • Understand customer requests, process requirements, and ensure delivery through high-quality deliverables
  • Document interactions between systems and applications to support performance, reliability, scalability, and security requirements
  • Evaluate the impact of requested changes or additions using system and application interaction documentation
  • Conduct cost and traffic analysis to determine the best use of resources
  • Manage multiple applications, systems, networks, and IT communications activities
  • Perform programming, analysis, networking, data processing, and/or administration responsibilities as needed
  • Resolve technical problems
  • Coordinate information system priorities
  • Work closely with management, other departments, customers, and UAMS IT to ensure effective systems integration
  • Collaborate across department areas to provide cross-functional support and meet department and company objectives
  • Participate in a 24/7/365 on-call rotation, taking call for one week at a time

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma/GED plus four (4) years of experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing IT Communications hardware required
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A+ Certification
  • MTA
  • MCSA
  • MCSE
  • MS Office Tools: Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint; and/or Microsoft Project (preferred)
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
  • Annual TB Screening
  • Criminal Background Check
  • Subject to pre-employment screening, including criminal background, drug testing, and/or education verification
