About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Operate, maintain, and repair the Campus (DES) District Energy System
  • Support systems serving medical, educational, and research facilities on the UAMS Campus
  • Assist with problems and/or emergencies relating to facility issues on the UAMS Campus
  • Perform watchkeeping and rounding documentation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • HS diploma/GED
  • Ability to obtain Arkansas High Pressure Boiler License within 9 months of hire
  • 1 year of relevant experience in HVAC Systems Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering Maintenance, Power Plant Operation, Plumbing and Piping Systems, Stationary Engineer Role, Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance, or boiler operation
  • Valid Arkansas driver’s license with fewer than 12 points on their Motor Vehicle Record
  • Computer program proficiency level: Intermediate
  • Knowledge of central plant systems
  • Watchkeeping and rounding documentation
  • Preferred: Boiler Operator Certification
  • Preferred: 6-10 years of boiler operations experience, experience operating a District Energy Plant
  • Preferred: Arkansas High Pressure Boiler License
  • Preferred: Siemen’s Desigo, chiller operations
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
  • Annual TB Screening and criminal background check
  • Required resume
