About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Read and interpret health record documentation to identify diagnoses and procedures affecting outpatient encounter visits
  • Produce Cath Lab images for medical interpretation
  • Prepare patients for procedures by reviewing medical history, draping and positioning patients, preparing procedural/testing sites, and administering contrast media or medications within scope of practice
  • Assist physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic vascular interventional procedures
  • Perform related imaging procedures
  • Analyze results and resolve image quality issues
  • Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and examinations
  • Monitor patient condition and report or respond to changes in status
  • Prepare equipment and supplies
  • Implement safety standards and perform equipment quality control procedures
  • Troubleshoot, resolve, and/or report equipment malfunctions
  • Work under supervision and do not supervise other Cath Lab technologists

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED plus a Graduate of a 2-year certificate program certified by the ASRT in Radiology Technology
  • New graduate or less than 1 year experience
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • Licensed by the State of Arkansas in Radiology Technology
  • Persons must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
  • Annual TB Screening, Criminal Background Check, Substance Abuse Testing
  • Required documents: License or Certificate, list of three professional references, and resume
