About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work under supervision and read/interpret health record documentation to identify diagnoses and procedures affecting outpatient encounters
  • Produce Cath Lab images for medical interpretation
  • Prepare patients by reviewing medical history, draping and positioning, preparing procedural/testing sites, and administering contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice
  • Assist physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic vascular interventional procedures
  • Perform related imaging procedures
  • Analyze results and resolve image quality issues
  • Educate patients about procedures, equipment, and exams
  • Monitor patient condition and report/respond to changes in status
  • Prepare equipment and supplies
  • Implement safety standards and perform equipment quality control
  • Troubleshoot, resolve, and/or report equipment malfunctions
  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduate from a 2-year certificate program certified by the ASRT in Radiology Technology
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • Licensed by the State of Arkansas in Radiology Technology
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
  • Pre-employment screening may include criminal background, drug testing, and education verification
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly
  • Visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of assigned work
  • Ability to work around moving mechanical parts or vehicles, electrical current, high places, chemicals, biological, radiological, or hazardous materials
  • Preferred: Baccalaureate Degree
  • Preferred: One or more years of experience
  • Preferred: Cath Lab Advanced Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
