About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ensure delivery of the highest quality Patient and Family-Centered Care within the clinic
  • Oversee the nursing and clinical team
  • Manage patient flow processes
  • Promote wellness, improved outcomes, and self-care among a defined patient population
  • Provide support, education, and assistance to patients with chronic conditions
  • Work with the CSM in the daily operations and supervision of the clinic and staff
  • Assist with scheduling, payroll, staffing issues, communication between staff and providers, clinical/nursing staff education and training, policy compliance, and maintaining quality measures
  • Perform triage, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care and patient education by telephone or within the clinic
  • Deliver nursing care according to UAMS, ANA, ASBN, and nursing specialty organization standards
  • Coordinate care and follow-up for patients receiving inpatient and outpatient care
  • Implement interdisciplinary, Patient and Family-Centered Care
  • Collaborate and communicate with nursing staff, interdisciplinary teams, executive leaders, and other stakeholders
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support UAMS's mission

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with Associates Degree, Nursing Diploma, Bachelors in Nursing, or Master's in Nursing
  • Valid RN License
  • Minimum of one (1) year Registered Nursing experience
  • Will consider RN with two (2) years of LPN clinical experience
  • Charge RN or Leadership experience preferred
  • Clinic or Ambulatory Setting experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and maintain high-quality care
  • Good communication skills (written and oral)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Leadership and collaborative skills
  • Strong patient advocacy and patient education skills
  • Strong organizational skills and computer knowledge
  • Professional and courteous telephone etiquette
  • General knowledge of office machines, including printers, fax machines, and scanners
  • Understanding basic medical terminology
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
