About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide quality direct patient care for a group of young children
  • Serve mealtimes and assist with feeding, diapering, and dressing
  • Provide developmentally appropriate behavioral guidance within daily scheduled activities
  • Follow the direction of the ECDS to provide individualized developmental services in assigned treatment rooms
  • Deliver services in a child-centered, family-focused manner demonstrating evidence-based or best practices
  • Establish exciting learning environments for young children
  • Apply curriculum to address objectives in each child’s treatment plan
  • Provide care and intervention to children from birth to age 5 with developmental delays and special medical needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED PLUS six (6) months experience working in the care of children
  • Education can be substituted for experience including CCOT, CDA, AA, or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field
  • Candidate must pass state abuse registry checks
  • Candidate must pass a drug screen
  • Candidate must submit to a TB skin test and required immunizations or provide proof of immunizations
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to identify educational and developmental needs of children
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with parents, staff, and other child care professionals
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of early childhood curriculum
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
