About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide quality direct patient care for a group of young children
  • Serve mealtimes and assist with feeding, diapering, and dressing
  • Provide developmentally appropriate behavioral guidance within daily scheduled activities
  • Follow the direction of the Early Childhood Development Specialist to provide individualized developmental services in assigned treatment rooms
  • Deliver services in a child-centered, family-focused manner using evidence-based or best practices
  • Establish exciting learning environments for young children
  • Apply curriculum to address objectives in each child’s treatment plan
  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 6 months experience working in the care of children, unless substituted by additional education including CCOT, CDA, AA, or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field
  • Must pass state abuse registry checks
  • Must pass a drug screen
  • Must submit to a TB skin test and required immunizations or provide proof of immunizations
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
  • Pre-employment screening, including criminal background, drug testing, and/or education verification
  • Required documents: Proof of Veteran Status, Resume, Unofficial/Official Transcript(s)
