About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist the Early Childhood Development Specialist in providing daily care for children birth through age five with special medical needs and developmental delays
  • Provide developmental support and interventions
  • Support a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment
  • Promote growth and well-being for each child and their family
  • Work with children with special healthcare needs from six weeks to five years of age in pediatric day healthcare clinics

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED PLUS six (6) months experience working in the care of children
  • Additional education including CCOT, CDA, AA, or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related filed may be substituted for the experience requirement
  • Candidate must pass state abuse registry checks
  • Candidate must pass a drug screen
  • Candidate must submit to a TB skin test and required immunizations or provide proof of immunizations
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
  • Subject to Adult Maltreatment, Child Maltreatment, Criminal Background Check, FBI Background Check, and Sex Offender Registry screening
