About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Implement the vision, mission, philosophy, core values, evidence-based practice, and organizational and nursing-service standards
  • Make unit-specific decisions for managed areas
  • Maintain 24-hour, 7-days-a-week accountability for unit operations, including budget, patient and employee satisfaction, professional growth, and quality outcomes
  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, development, and evaluation of providers and staff
  • Engage staff in clinical research and research activities relevant to their duties
  • Ensure patient- and family-centered care principles and service recovery processes
  • Lead service-line improvement projects using data and analytics
  • Manage measurable patient quality, satisfaction, clinical, employee satisfaction, and workforce outcomes
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and timely submission of required forms
  • Work closely with the cardiovascular sciences medical director
  • Drive a consistent system-wide service-line approach across facilities
  • Ensure efficient business operations, process improvement, patient access, expense management, productivity, safety, and patient- and family-centered care
  • Recruit and retain qualified staff and ensure adequate staffing
  • Manage performance against financial, quality, staffing, service, and safety standards
  • Identify, address, improve, and resolve operational or performance issues
  • Contribute to strategic planning and service-line vision and mission implementation
  • Provide broad leadership across the service line
  • Promote multidisciplinary collaboration and positive organizational culture
  • Plan operational and capital expense budgets
  • Review fiscal performance of cost centers, satellite offices, diagnostic services, and ancillary services
  • Participate in value analysis and cost-reduction teams without sacrificing care
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with a Bachelor's in Nursing
  • At least 5 years of experience in nursing
  • At least 3 of those years in a supervisory capacity
  • Valid License as a Registered Nurse by the State of Arkansas
  • Endoscopy experience preferred
  • License or Certificate required for application
