About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the designated clinic/unit, including patient care and clinic/unit business processes
- Collect and document assessment data from patients and/or others per UAMS standard
- Develop patients' Plans of Care utilizing assessment data
- Evaluate patient progress toward desired outcomes
- Administer medication following department/unit standards and Nurse Practice Act
- Verify and evaluate care delivery for consistency with patient- and family-centered care principles, practice standards, and regulatory requirements
- Support integration of current evidence into nursing practices
- Promote an environment conducive to positive educational experiences for students and staff
- Provide patient/family education and discharge planning
- Collaborate and communicate with nursing staff, interdisciplinary teams, executive leaders, and other stakeholders
- Document care appropriately in the medical record
- Report variances in care, systems, and processes
- Participate in staff recruitment and retention
- Facilitate development and implementation of evidence-based nursing practice standards compliant with ANA standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
- Bachelor's in Nursing required
- At least 5 years of experience in nursing
- At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory capacity
- Valid License as a Registered Nurse by the State of Arkansas
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
- Annual TB Screening
- Criminal Background Check
- Substance Abuse Testing
- License or Certificate required for application
