About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Function within the three spheres of influence: patient, nurse, and system
- Apply advanced nursing practice knowledge and standards within the practice area
- Provide theory- and evidence-based knowledge shaping practice and core competencies for unit nursing and patient care staff
- Provide area leadership in collaboration with administrative leaders
- Lead orientation, professional development, skills/competency validation, evidence-based practice, shared governance, regulatory compliance, nurse sensitive quality indicators, and performance improvement
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team as a leader, consultant, and change agent
- Provide high-risk obstetrical care support in Labor & Delivery
Requirements
What you’ll need- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Four (4)+ years of clinical experience, including at least two (2) years of experience in the specialty area for the position
- Two (2)+ years of experience in a leadership role (including Charge Nurse, Team Lead, or RN IV level at UAMS)
- Employees in this role must be fitted for, capable of donning and performing routine tasks in personal protective equipment to include N95 masks, Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPR) or Controlled Air Purifying Respirators (CAPR)
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
- Pre-employment screening: Annual TB Screening, Criminal Background Check, Sex Offender Registry, Substance Abuse Testing
