About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan, develop, and publish engaging content highlighting ICHI’s research, programs, and community impact
  • Create multimedia storytelling through written features, social media, podcasts, and video
  • Translate data into accessible narratives
  • Collaborate with design and multimedia staff to meet brand standards, accessibility, and user experience best practices
  • Develop and execute communications plans aligned with program goals
  • Monitor outcomes and refine communications strategies
  • Deliver reports and presentations to investigators, leadership, and external partners
  • Support dissemination of findings and program success
  • Develop and manage marketing plans and strategies for community-based programs
  • Oversee design and creative development of outreach materials, curricula, and presentations
  • Create institute storytelling content across written, digital, and social platforms
  • Produce data-driven reflections and impact reports
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment, consistency, and timely delivery of communications
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field plus two (2) years' of project/program manager experience
  • Five (5) plus years of marketing, communications, or program management experience, preferably in community-based or public-interest environments
  • Experience in a public-health or community-based setting preferred
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite preferred
  • Knowledge of audience research and outreach best practices for public engagement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience creating content across multiple formats (written, digital, video, social)
  • Strong storytelling ability with a portfolio of published work
  • Proficiency with social media management tools, basic graphic/video editing, and data visualization
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
  • Attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
  • Successful completion of pre-employment screening, including criminal background check and applicable drug testing and/or education verification
