Diagnostic Cardiac Medical Sonographer – Non-Invasive Lab

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform transthoracic, exercise, and pharmacological stress echocardiograms on adult patients
- Utilize M-Mode, 2D, Doppler Color Flow, Spectral Doppler, and bubble-study techniques
- Perform ultrasound imaging, identify anomalies, and make independent protocol decisions based on findings
- Obtain, review, and integrate pertinent patient history and clinical data
- Maintain sonographic and other equipment in efficient operating order
- Set up for and assist physicians or licensed providers with procedures and examinations
- Complete billing and coding information for performed procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma/GED
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Sonography Program
- Cardiac ultrasound experience, including treadmill and pharmacologic stress testing (preferred)
- Registered Diagnostic Sonographer or Registered Cardiac Sonographer within one year of hire (preferred)
- Must complete registry within one year of employment
- Current CPR (preferred)
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
- License or Certificate required for application
- Annual TB screening
- Criminal background check
- Substance abuse testing
